Restoration Work at the Keld Literary Institute - more news


 
The old building is getting a lot of attention ....
 


New floor joists on the ground floor. 
Upstairs the floor is raised so that the whole of the first floor is on one level 
 
 

 
 
 The original floorboards are re-laid in the smaller of the two upper rooms.
   

 
Philip Calvert of Gunnerside but formerly of Keld is the project joiner.

In this end of the building the roof timbers are to be left exposed.
 
 
Work being carried out at the entrance of the Visitor Centre to make it accessible to all.
