Countryside & Heritage Centre Events - 2016

 
Despite the Keld Countryside & Heritage Centre being temporarily closed due the restoration work on the rest of the Keld Literary Institute building a full programme of events are planned for 2016.

 Saturday 7th May:  Birds of Upper Swaledale Guided Walk
10:00 - 12:30 and 13:30 - 16:00  BOOKING ESSENTIAL Sorry no dogs or children under 8 yrs old.
Cost:  Full day £5, half day £3, children free
 
Saturday 25th June: Waterfalls of the Swale Guided Walk ~ New for 2016 ~
13:30 - 16:00 Cost £3
 
Saturday 2nd July: Flowers of Swaledale Ramble
In association with Yoredale Natural History Society - flower identification walk
10:30 - 14:00 approx.  Cost £5
 
 
Saturday 9th July: To the Source of the Swale Guided Walk ~ New for 2016 ~
11:00 - 13:00 Cost £3
 
Thursday 28th July: Kisdon Classic Circular Guided Walk - Time: 11:00

Sunday 21st August:  Meet the Yorkshire Shepherdess Guided Walk
13:30 Cost £8 includes cream tea and lift to Ravenseat Farm.  BOOKING ESSENTIAL
 
Sunday 28th August:  Swinner Gill in the Footsteps of Ella Pontefract Guided Walk
11:00 - 15:30 Cost £5
 
Saturday 10th September: A History of Lead Mining in Keld & Upper Swaledale
A Heritage Open Day Event - Time: 14:00 Venue: Keld Chapel
Entry free - donations to the Keld Resource Centre project and Keld Chapel appreciated.
 
Saturday 12th November:  Celebration Ceilidh - Venue: Keld Public Hall at 7.30 p.m.
Dancing to live Ceilidh Band, Cobbler's Jig  Adults £15, Concessions £12.50 & £10
Includes 2-course supper.
