The Manse Holiday Cottage

The Manse Holiday Cottage & Minister's Retreat
Phase One of the Keld Resource Centre Restoration Project
Completed in April 2009

The Manse, once a minister's residence, is now a popular, 4 star Visit Britain registered holiday cottage. The property provides accommodation of the highest standard yet retains all the charm of a Dale's cottage. The cottage has three spacious living areas; a comfortable lounge with open fire, a large dining room with open fire and beamed ceiling and a homely breakfast room / prep kitchen.  This room, with three windows looking towards the village and the hills beyond, is the perfect place to start the day. A well equipped working kitchen with dishwasher, utility room with toilet and drying room completes the downstairs accommodation.  The Manse has been sympathetically refurbished as a traditional Dales Manse yet provides every modern day comfort including full central heating, telephone & Wifi. The Manse sleeps a maximum of six people in three bedrooms; two double rooms and a twin bedded room.

For five weeks each year The Manse is home to a Minister in Residence.  Ministers and student ministers of the United Reformed Church and other denominations are invited to take up residence in The Manse, to take services in the adjoining chapel and share in our community.

Keld Manse is the ideal place to relax and unwind, to enjoy the magnificent, unspoilt landscape and experience the peace and tranquillity of Upper Swaledale.  Please visit www.tkrc.org.uk for more details

  1. Good to see this. I liked the warmth of the underfloor heating downstairs. And the open fire in the sitting room
