Another full programme of events have been arranged for 2015. Most, but not all, are listed in the National Parks magazine Visitor 2015, they are advertised in the Reeth & Arkengarthdale Gazette and on the Keld Resource Centre website www.tkrc.org.uk
Birds of Upper Swaledale Guided Walk - Saturday 9th May 10.00 - 12.30 & 13.30 - 16.00
Spend a half or full day with experienced volunteer Rev. David Peel observing birds in their moorland, woodland & riverside habitat. Booking essential
COFFEE in KELD - Saturday 6th June 10.00 - 13.00 Coffee, Cake & Chat. The perfect opportunity to find out what is happening in Keld. ALL WELCOME Proceeds to the Keld Project
Meadows & Moorland Guided Farm Walk - Sunday 14th June 11.00 - 13.30 Join local farmer, Chris Calvert as he walks through his hay meadows, lambing fields, pastures and onto the moor. Own car required for the short drive to the farm.
Swinner Gill Circular Guided Walk - Saturday 20th June 11.30 - 15.00 Guided walk with experienced volunteer, David Pemberton. Walk in the footsteps of the lead miners to Swinner Gill with an option to visit Swinner Gill Kirk - waterfall & cave and site of non-conformist worship.
Flowers of the Dales Ramble - Saturday 4th July 10.00 - 14.00 Flower identification walk from Keld to Muker in association with Yoredale Natural History Society. The walk finishes in Muker in time to catch the bus back to Keld or alternatively walk back to Keld via the classic circular route.
Meet the Yorkshire Shepherdess Guided Walk - Sunday 23rd August 13.30 Meet at the Keld Countryside & Heritage Centre where you will be driven to Ravenseat Farm to meet Amanda Owen, the Yorkshire Shepherdess. Walk back to Keld on the Coast to Coast path. £5 per person including cream tea. Booking essential.
Kisdon Circular Guided Walk - Saturday 29th August 11.30 - 15.30 Guided walk with experienced volunteer, David Pemberton who leads this classic walk but with a twist! Visit the summit cairn and crater pothole returning by the lesser known path to Kisdon Force upper falls.
Keld During WW1 - Saturday 12th September 14.00 Venue: Keld Chapel Life in Keld during WW1 and its impact on families at the head of the dale. This event draws on recent research by Gillian Figures into the four men named on the Keld War Memorial
